About

Carla’s artistic practice revolves around pencil drawing and acrylic painting. She creates structured botanical compositions, and expresses herself through a rich color palette inspired by fauna and flora. She draws demonstrative characters through a saturated color palette and pale expressions. Carla addresses the issue of gender by drawing non-gendered characters: feminine men as well as masculine women. She mixes human emotion with abstract fauna.

 

Carla represents love and loss of human relationships inspired by her experiences. She draws the emotions and sensitivity of everyday life. Her characters represent self-reflection as well as deep thought: the distorted beauty of everyday life.
